During a meeting with the Parliament Liaison and Public Information Department's chiefs of directorates and structures, held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at the Ministry of National Defence's Headquarters, Mr. Mihai Stanisoara, the Minister of National Defence, introduced them Mr. Dan Tataru as the Secretary of State and head of this Department.

Mr. Dan Tataru was appointed Secretary of State within the Ministry of National Defence by the Prime Minister's Decision No. 86/January 9, 2009.

On this occasion, Mr. Tataru stated that besides accomplishing the main Department's responsibilities his priorities include improving the standard of living for the military and civilian personnel, especially for those representing the foundation of the military system.

Mr. Tataru also said that he is looking for viable settlements for the social questions of the Ministry of National Defence's employees.
