Monday, December 1, 2003 in Bucharest and all over Romania military ceremonies with wreath depositions at the commemorative monuments and in historical places with importance in achieving the Great Union in 1918 will be organized due to the National Day of Romania.

At Alba Iulia, the program of the manifestations will contain a ceremony of wreath depositions at Mihai Viteazu statue (11.00 hours), a Te Deum at Catedrala Reintregirii Neamului - Cathedral of Reunification of Nation (12.00 hours) and the National Military Parade (13.00 hours).

The Parade will be developed in front of Ion Iliescu, President of Romania and Adrian Nastease, Prime Minister. George Cristian Maior State, Secretary and chief of Department for Euro-Atlantic Integration and Defense Policy and General Dr. Mihail Popescu, chief of Romanian General Staff will represent the Ministry of National Defense at this ceremony.

On the 1st Decembrie 1918 Boulevard in Alba Iulia will parade more then 1000 military from the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Administration and Foreign Affairs, Romanian Intelligence Service and French Jandarmerie arranged on four parade blocks and a military technique block the Romanian Armed Forces and the Romanian Intelligence Service are endowed with.
Formations of MiG-21 Lancer, I.A.R. 99 Soim, C-130 Hercules and helicopters I.A.R. 330 PUMA SOCAT will fly over the area the parade is organized.

In Bucharest, a military and religious ceremony will be organized at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier (09.00 hours) with depositions of wreaths. At the Arch of Triumph (10.30 hours) the military parade will comprises blocks of parade and military technique belonging to the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Administration and Foreign Affairs. The Ministry of National Defense will be represented by Sorin Encutescu, State Secretary and chief of Department for Parliament Liaison, Legislative Harmonization and Public Relations and Lieutenant General Ioan Gavril Ghitas deputy chief of General Staff.
