Colonel General Safar Abiyev, minister of Defense of Republic of Azerbaidjan heading a military delegation will have an official visit in Romania between April 1 and 4, 03 invited by his counterpart minister Ioan Mircea Pascu.

The two ministers' discussions will be focused on political military situation in the South East of Europe and Caucasus area, the present evolution of the disarmament of Iraq, the stage and the perspectives of the bilateral military cooperation increase.

The Azer official will be received at the Presidency of Romania, the Commission of Defense, Public Order and National Security from the Chamber of Deputies, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will have a meeting with the chief oft he Romanian General Staff.

The Azer delegation will visit the Air Staff, the Navy Staff, the Center of Simulation and the PfP Regional Center of Training from the Academy of High Military Studies, the Air Academy and a mounting troop unit.

Tuesday, April 1, 03 at 13.30 hours the two ministers of Defense will have common press declarations at MoND HQ.
