PRESS INFORMATION

The delegation headed by Ioan Mircea Pascu minister of National Defence and formed by General Dr. Mihail Popescu , Sergiu Nicolaescu and Razvan Ionescu, presidents of the two commissions of Defense in the Romanian Parliament was today, February 23, 04 in visit to the Romanian military acting in the theater of operations in Kosovo within KFOR.

In the morning, Ioan Mircea Pascu met Lieutenant General Holger Kammerhoff, KFOR commander at KFOR Command in Pristina who congratulated him for the special service of the Romanian military acting in the Command staff and stressed the fact that the experience gained here will represent a good lesson in their military career as officers of the Armed Forces already NATO member.

Then, they met the 23 officers and NCOs acting within KFOR Command in Pristina and the military from the company from the 191st Infantry Battalion dislocated in Gorazdevac. Minister of Defence and the chief of the General Staff were interested in the manner the problems of the 86 military recently arrived in the theater of operations are solved. One of the aims of this visit in the theatres of operations is to check how the military adapted to the working environment in the region they are dislocated.
