Last week, the Romanians and the Americans participating to Enduring Freedom operation in Afghanistan discovered at 1 km. North of Kandahar an illegal depot of armament and ammunition.

The Romanian-US patrol found in a textile factory warehouse more than 2000 machine guns, 150 anti-tank mines, 80 anti-personnel mines, 185 launchers 82 mm in caliber, 36 grenade launchers AG7, 200 boxes of ammunition 7,62 mm in caliber and 10 boxes of ammunition for AG7.

The armament and the ammunition was taken to be destroyed.
