The handing and taking over ceremony of the mission between the 30th Mountain Troops Dragoslavele Battalion from Campulung Muscel and the 21st Mountain Troops General Leonard Mociulschi Battalion from Predeal took place on Tuesday, January the 20th, in Lagman Base, Qalat. On this occasion the Romanian military from the 21st Battalion passed under the operational command of the ISAF Regional Command South (RC South).

At the beginning of the ceremony there was a collectedness moment to the memory of those who fell on duty in Afghanistan.

Brigade General Dan Ghica Radu, the Commander of the Joint Operational Command praised the activity carried out by the Carpathians Eagles during their six month mission and, at the same time, wished good luck to the 21st Battalion on their second mission in the operational theatre.

The Governor of Zabul Province, Mr. Delbar Jan Arman, attendant at the ceremony, thanked the military from the 30th Battalion for the efforts made in order to maintain a secure environment inside the province and for the assistance offered to the Afghan population. He also welcome the 21st Battalion and assured them of his total support during their six month mission.
