During a meeting with the chiefs of directorates and structures from Department of Defence Policy and Planning, held on Monday, January 26, 2009, at the Ministry of National Defence's Headquarters, Mr. Mihai Stanisoara, the Minister of National Defence, introduced them Mr. Viorel Oancea as the Secretary of State and chief of this Department.

On this occasion, Minister Stanisoara assured the Department's personnel of his full support so that they profit by best conditions in accomplishing the specific responsabilities.

Mr. Viorel Oancea was appointed Secretary of State and Chief of the Department of Defence Policy and Planning within the Ministry of National Defence by the Prime Minister's Decision No. 105/January14, 2009.
