On January 24 and 25, Romanian and US solders from the Afghan National Army Training Team, deployed in Rushmore Base, along with Afghan soldiers carried out a humanitarian mission at the orphanage from Sharona, Paktika Province, situated in southeastern Afghanistan.

The beneficiaries of this initiative are 40 children who received necessaries, clothes, footwear, writing materials, toys and sweets.

It was the first mission of this kind carried out by Afghan, US and Romanian soldiers at this orphanage and I assure you that we will keep on dishing out humanitarian aids to this place stated Colonel Leas James, Rushmore Base Commander.
