The Center of Coordination and Monitoring of Implementation of the Access Agreement (CCMIA) of the Department of Defence Policy and Planning organized on February 6 at the MoND HQ a working meeting with the US delegation from the US Army Command Europe (USAREUR) headed by Brigadier General Jon J. Miller, Deputy Commanding General of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command and the Romanian military experts in management of consequences.
The Romanian delegation was headed by Constantin Moisa, adviser of the State Secretary for the defence policy. The topics of the meeting were the few aspects on missions, capacity and system of cooperation for the management of consequences at the MoND level and the national level, too.
The main conclusions aimed to identify the possibility to cooperate in case of incidents and to establish a future plan for the improvement of the activities in common in case of civilian emergency and NBC protection.
During the visit, Brigadier General Jon J. Miller was received by Viorel Oancea, State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning. This occasion, they focused on the general aspects of implementation of the Access Agreement of the US troops on the Romanian territory.
