The ISAF chief of staff, Major General Marco Bertolini and the commander of the Regional Command South, Major General Mart de Kruif met Thursday, February 5, during the visit to Qalat military base, under the Romanian command, in Afghanistan with Task Force Zabul commander, Colonel Laurentiu Grigoras and the commander of the 21st Maneuver Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Florin Stan.
The representatives of the Coalition Forces deployed in Zabul province and the representatives of the Afghan army participated in this meeting, too. The topics of the talks were the Maneuver Battalion's missions and the cooperation between the Romanian troops and the Afghan Security Forces and the local authorities.
This occasion, the ISAF chief of staff thanked to the Romanians for their missions and to all the present people for the cooperation in the reconstruction of Afghanistan.
