Chief of Joint Staff of the Iraqi Armed Forces, General Babakir Baderkan Shawkt Zibari will officially visit Romania between February 22 and March 1, invited by his counterpart, Admiral Gheorghe Marin, Ph.D.
The official talks to be held at the MoND HQ, on Monday, February 23 will focus on the military topics related to the Memorandum of Understanding signed by Romania and Iraq on January 26, 2009 and the Romanian Armed Forces transformation's special elements and the possible increase of bilateral military cooperation.
At the end of the talks, at 12.45 a.m. the two officials will deliver a press statement.
The Iraqi delegation will visit some operationalized military units, the military education institutions and will visit the shows of equipment and military technique.
