The opening festivity of the 43rd meeting of the Mountain Military Schools International Association occurred today, March 3, in Piata Garii in Predeal.

The activity is organized by the Mountain Training Base Bucegi from Predeal and begun with the tune of the national Anthems and the hoist of the 14 participating states.

The representatives of the public local authorities, officers from the Land Forces Staff and the subordinated units, war veterans and officer in retreat were the participants in this ceremony.

In his speech, Major General Nicolae N. Roman, Ph.D. the representative of the Land Forces Staff, stressed on the importance of receiving the Mountain Training Base Bucegi as the Association's permanent member.

After the opening ceremony, the participating delegates had ski and tour ski on Valea Dorului on Bucegi plateau.
