End of the Iraqi Security forces' first training module

The ending ceremony of the first training module developed by the Romanian Armed Forces' trainers occurred Sunday, March 8, in Dhi Qar military base, south of Iraq.
In this ceremony the participants were Lieutenant Colonel Gabriel Toma, Ph.D. commander of the 26th Infantry Battalion Scorpionii Rosii, Lieutenant Colonel Zafer Habeeb, commander of the Iraqi Battalion and militaries from the 26th Infantry Battalion Staff and the Iraqi militaries involved in the Iraqi security forces training.
The two commanders appreciated the way the Iraqi militaries have been trained and the very good performances they reached in the four months of training.
The training of the Iraqi security forces is one of the missions the 26th Infantry Battalion Neagoe Basarab from Craiova is involved after the sign of the bilateral Memorandum between Romania and the Republic of Iraq on January 26, 2009.
