Minister of National Defence, Mihai Stanisoara, will officially visit France between March 9 and 10, invited by his French counterpart, Herve Morin.
The visit will represent the occasion to increase the bilateral military relations, thus contributing to strengthen the defense dimension of the Strategic Partnership between Romania and France.
Having in view the NATO transformation and the endorsement of historical decisions with major impact upon the Alliance's future, the Strasbourg-Kehl anniversary Summit (April 2009) will be an import topic on the agenda of discussions.
The development of the European Policy of Security and Defense represents one of the issues to be approached during the two Defence Ministers' meeting.
The talks on this dimension will approach the EU status as a relevant actor at regional and global level according to its potential and strategic profile.
The official program includes the visit to military and economic objectives the French part suggested.
