Romania will participate in Black Sea Harmony Operation

The chief of the Navy Staff, Rear-Admiral Dorin Danila and the commander of the Turkish Navy, Admiral Metin Atac, during the Istanbul last week ceremony, signed the Memorandum of understanding between the Romanian Government and the Turkish Government on cooperation under Black Sea Harmony Operation aegis (OBSH).
The Turkish Navy initiated OBSH to provide the maritime security in the Black Sea and it is opened for all the states in the region.
The aim of the Memorandum of understanding is to establish the legal frame of cooperation between the two parts in order to counteract the challenges towards the maritime security in the Black Sea, and to establish the working methods and the responsibilities on the exchange of information to run on the operation between the Turkish Navy Command and the Romanian Navy Staff, as the responsible authorities of the parts.
The sign of the document is part of the efforts Romania makes to ensure the security and stability in the Black Sea region and the traditional relations of cooperation with the Republic of Turkey.
