Mihai Stanisoara spoke with the militaries that have been wounded in Afghanistan and hospitalized in Ramstein

The Minister of National Defense, Mihai Stanisoara, spoke today April 15, by phone, with the wounded militaries that are hospitalized for investigations and treatment in the US hospital from Landstuhl, Germany. Minister Stanisoara asked each of the four militaries about their state of health and stated he is sure they benefit the best conditions of treatment and medical care in Ramstein. In the same time, Mihai Stanisoara assured them that the MoND is in touch with their families and expressed the hope they will return home as soon as possible and in good condition. At their turn, the militaries thanked for the support and encouragement. At the end of their talk, the Defense Minister wished them health and Happy Eastern. The four militaries that are in hospital in Ramstein, Lieutenant Colonel Augustin Pegulescu, Sergeant Orban Csaba Attila, Corporal Adrian Gabriel Cretu and NCO Madalin Lungu also talked with their families.** * Lieutenant Colonel Augustin Pegulescu (from Task Force Zabul command and control structure) was wounded during the reconnaissance mission on January 9, at about 50 km south west of Lagman base. The US armored vehicle passed over an improvised explosive device. Sergeant Orban Csaba Attila, Corporal Adrian Gabriel Cretu and NCO Madalin Lungu from the 21st Maneuver Battalion, deployed in Qalat, were wounded on April 7, during the patrol mission on A1 Kandahar-Kabul highway, when the Humvee vehicle passed over an improvised explosive device. Initially, the Romanian militaries were transported to the military hospital from Kandahar and after that, they were transferred to the US hospital in Ramstein. In the same incident Captain Iuliu Vasile Unguras was killed in action and Corporal Eugen Vargau was slightly wounded.
