On April 23, the militaries from the Romanian Armed Forces are celebrating the Land Forces with their spiritual patron Saint George (Sfantul Mare Mucenic Gheorghe - Purtatorul de Biruinta).
All the garrisons are developing a program of activities to pay homage to our forefathers, to evoke the units' fighting traditions and to present the Land Forces present stage. The guests to participate in these events are the young people interested in a military career, citizens, military and political personalities, militaries in reserve and war veterans.
The following activities to be developed by the Land Forces Staff, in Bucharest, are:
* 9.30 - 10 a.m. - Lay of wreaths at the Monument of Infantry and the Monument of Artillery;
* 9 - 14 - "Day of the Open Doors" at the 1st Infantry Division "DACICA" (strada Antiaeriana nr. 6-8, Bucuresti)
* Visit the Unit Military Tradition Hall;
* Documentaries
* Book show dedicated to the Day of the Land Forces;
* Exhibition of equipment and armament;
* Training on a simulator with Infantry armament;
* Musical show performed by the Band of the 1st Infantry Division "DACICA";
* 5-6.30 p.m. - Land Forces Gala at the National Opera House.
