"Amiral Petre Barbuneanu" corvette in the "BLACKSEA PARTNERSHIP 09"

The Romanian Navy corvette "Amiral Petre Barbuneanu" will participate between April 26 and May 4, in the "BLACKSEA PARTNERSHIP 09" naval exercise to be developed in the international waters of the Black Sea. The ships from the Russian Federation, Georgia and Turkey will also participate in the exercise.
The main goals of the "BLACKSEA PARTNERSHIP 09" exercise are to strengthen the trust and the good neighborhood between the participating states and to increase the cooperation and interoperability between the naval forces of the Black Sea countries.
The anti terrorism combat, the defense against surface ships, anti air and anti submarine defense, the artillery firings, the search and rescue exercises, formations and naval evolutions are the exercises to be developed.
"Amiral Petre Barbuneanu" corvette will start the march to Turkey from Mangalia Military port, on Saturday, April 25, at 12 a.m. The ship is commanded by Captain Commander Marian Rusu and has 117 militaries on board.
