The leave in mission ceremony of ANA TRAINING XII Detachment for the Afghan theatre of operations will occur Wednesday, April 29, starting 11 a.m. at the 495th Infantry Battalion "STEFAN SOVERTH".
The about 50 militaries organized on training mobile teams will participate between May and October 2009 in the process of training and operationalization of the Afghan National Armed Forces (ANA).
The Romanian militaries will train, will advise and will be with the officers and NCOs from the Afghan forces during the planning, preparation and perform of the peacekeeping missions and they will act in the Eastern part of Afghanistan.
