The OMLT repatriation ceremony from Afghanistan will occur Thursday, April 30, starting 10.30 a.m. at the 81st Mechanized Brigade HQ in Bistrita.
The Romanian militaries officially received from their US partner the responsibility to train the garrison structure of the Afghan army from Qalat on November 1, 2008 and in the six month activity they completely advised this structure and performed different types of missions such as: patrol, humanitarian and medical in all the localities from Zabul province.
On this occasion, at the 81st Mechanized Brigade they will organize the Day of the Open Gates and the guests will be the young people interested in a military career, citizens, political and military personalities, militaries in reserve and retreat and war veterans.
The participants will have the opportunity to visit the armament and military equipment exhibition and will participate to the military ceremony.
The missions of the militaries from Bistrita were received starting April, by the OLMT from the 8th Joint Artillery Brigade from Focsani.
