The Day of Distinguished Visitors will occur within the "STRIKE LANCE 2009" exercise developed at the 71st Campia Turzii Air Base on April 30. This activity will mark the end of the Romanian-American exercise.
The "STRIKE LANCE 2009" Romanian-American exercise is performed between April 21 and 30, at the 71st "General Emanoil Ionescu" Air Base from Campia Turzii with the participation of more than 250 US militaries from the 494 USAFE with 12 F 15E and the adequate logistic support and more than 200 Romanian militaries with 6 MiG 21 LanceR from the 71st Air Base.
The exercise's main goal is to improve the training and the carry out of the specific air operations.
