On Thursday, April 15, Mr. Sorin Encutescu, State Secretary and Chief of the Department for Parliamentary Relations, Legislative Harmonization and Public Relations, visited Romanian troops of Bosnia National Detachment deployed in Butmir Camp, on the occasion of his participation in the South Eastern Europe Cooperation Process SEECP Defence Ministers Meeting held in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The conclusion derived from the talks he had with the Romanian engineers is that they are concerned with the fulfillment of their missions in very good conditions and satisfied with their living conditions.

On the occasion of the admission of the seven new countries into the North-Atlantic Alliance, Mr. Encutescu participated in a meeting gathering all the 27 member states of NATO Stabilization Force (SFOR). Major General Virgil Packett, SFOR Commander, also present in this meeting, congratulated the Romanian troops and thanked them for the way they are fulfilling their missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The MoD State Secretary also met the Italian Colonel Maurozio Detalmo, Commander of the Specialized Multinational Unit, who appreciated the activity of the Romanian troops working under his command.
