The third award of prizes of the "Club of Admirals" Association for the most important papers on the navy that have been issued on 2008 will occur Thursday, May 7, starting 11 a.m. in the Byzantine Hall of the National Military Club Palace.
On this occasion, the prize "Ofiterul anului 2008-in Fortele Navale" (The officer of the year 2008- in the Navy) will be awarded, too.
In this activity are invited to take part the members of the "Club of Admirals" Association, the Romanian Navy leaders, the representatives of military institutions from Bucharest, and the authors of the papers.

The "Club of Admirals" is a non-governmental, autonomous, and non-political association that was established to affirm and maintain the friendly relationships between the Admirals of Romania. The association's establishment, organization and function is achieved according to the Governmental Decree no. 26/30 January 2000, reviewed by the Governmental Decree no. 37/30January 2003.
The "Club of Admirals" goals are the following: the increase of relations of cooperation and respect among the Admirals in duty and those in reserve and retreat, the increase of relations of cooperation with other similar organizations from other states, the increase of Admirals' concern on studies, syntheses, memories and the publication of books on the navy.
