At the end of the third Romanian-American Joint Committee Reunion the MoND State Secretary Viorel Oancea and the State Secretary Mihai Viorel Fifor from the Ministry of Administration and Interior together with the US officers had a meeting in Babadag and Constanta, with the representatives of the local public administration, between May 13 and 14, 2009.

They had talks on the details of the Romanian-American exercise to be developed this year in Tulcea and Constanta Counties.

For this purpose, they visited the works running on at the quartering facilities for the US personnel from the Administrative Center of Mihail Kogalniceanu Aerodrome, the works to be ended by September 2009.
The activity is part of the program of information of population on the activities to be developed for the exercise, especially on the military equipment which will have maneuvers in Babadag shooting range with the start in August and the end in October.

"We are here to achieve a better communication with the citizens from Babadag shooting range area and to assure us that you are conscious that nearby there will be armored vehicles during the exercise" stated Colonel Gary R. Russ, the US commander of the exercise.
