South-Eastern European Brigade will undertake disaster relief operations.

South Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG) organizes the Disaster Relief Operations (DRO) Seminar on 26-27 May 2009 at General M. Mazlum ISKORA Barracks in Ayazaga, Istanbul.
The scope of the seminar is to improve the ability of SEEBRIG to cope with DRO by optimizing its existing capabilities, without requesting additional means and resources.
The seminar represents an important step in the process of transformation the brigade is undergoing, an instrument available to participating nations if need be.
The main topics of the seminar are command, control, coordination and cooperation in DRO, with logistics and medical support in disaster area.
The seminar aims at exchanging information related to DRO between SEEBRIG and other organizations that have experience in this field; enhancing the cooperation among organizations which deal with DRO in South Eastern Europe; and providing inputs for SEEBRIG for the development.
Representatives of SEDM nations and other organizations directly or indirectly involved in DRO will attend the seminar in order to share their experience and to assist SEEBRIG in developing its DRO Concept and new perspectives related to Humanitarian Operations.
Colonelul Doinel Gorgan working with CC Air Izmir, Turkey, would represent Romania at this seminar and will hold a presentation.
