On Monday, May 25, 11.00 a.m., the Aviation Museum hosts the exhibition of the projects participating in the idea contest, for an Aviation Memorial in its Art Gallery Pictor Ion THaralunga.
The contest was organized by the Order of the Romanian Architects, upon the request of the Cultural Foundation Bartoc.

Cultural Foundation Bartoc in association with the Order of the Romanian Architects organized a public contest for building an Aviation Memorial, in 2010. The monument is supposed to be placed in the Aviatorilor Boulevard, between the Aviatorilor Square and Charles de Gaulle Square. Several art works would be placed in the respective spots, with inscriptions of the names of the honored heroes and personalities.
The initiative is one of a series of events defining the commemoration project of 75 years since the inauguration of the Monument of the Heroes of the Air in the Aviatorilor Square.
