Day of the Romanian Air Force

The Day of the Romanian Aviation and Air Force on July 20, the Day of Saint Ilie Tesviteanul, will be celebrated by a series of activities the Air Force Staff is organizing, thus:
In Bucharest, Monday, July 20, between 8.55 and 9.50 a.m. a military and religious ceremony will occur at the Monument of the Heroes of Air on Bulevardul Aviatorilor.
During the ceremony, formations of IAR 330 SOCAT and C 130 Hercules from the 90th Air Transport Base, the MiG 21 LanceR from the 86th Air Base and IAR 99 SOIM from the Air Force Training School will fly over Bulevardul Aviatorilor from Piata Victoriei towards Piata Presei Libere. Formations of EC-135, Mi-8 and Mi-7 helicopters from the Ministry of Administration and Interior will also fly over the same route.
The Romanian and foreign officials, the representatives of war veterans, militaries in reserve and retreat and representatives of the local authorities are invited to participate in this activity.

The Day of the Romanian Aviation and Air Force will be celebrated in the air bases and the Air Force Academy by organizing the Open Doors Day where they will present military planes in static show and on flight, thus:
- "Henri Coanda" Air Force Academy, Brasov, on July 17, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.;
- The 90th Air Transport Base Otopeni, on July 19, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.;
- The 71st Air Base Campia Turzii, on July 19, between 9.3- a.m. and 2 p.m.;
- The 95th Air Base Bacau, on July 19, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.;
- The 86th Air Base Fetesti, on July 20, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
