Chief of General Staff, Admiral Gheorghe Marin, Ph.D. met July 16, at the MoND HQ General Lubomir Bulik, chief of the Armed Forces General Staff of the Republic of Slovakia, in official visit in Romania.
On this occasion, the two military leaders approached the issues on military bilateral cooperation and within the NATO and EU structures. They also had an exchange of opinions on the evolution of the security environment in the Black Sea region and the Western Balkans.
Admiral Marin presented to the Slovakian guest the elements of the process of transformation and modernization of the Romanian Armed Forces and stressed on the experience the Romanian militaries gained in the theaters of operations.
Thursday, General Bulik met Ioan Aurel Lascu, State Secretary for Armaments. The Slovakian delegation also visited some military units and a military equipment exhibition and participated in a demonstrative exercise and lay of wreaths at the Unknown Soldier Grave.
