Two militaries were wounded last night in the Romanian military base from Qalat, Afghanistan during the insurgents' attack with missiles and infantry armament. Sergeant Florin Emil Cojocaru and Corporal Gheorghita Paval were slightly wounded at the face.
The militaries received the medical support in the military base and this morning they are to be transported by a medical evacuation helicopter to Kandahar for more investigations and special treatment. Their state of health is good.
The wounded militaries are from the 280th Maneuver Battalion that started the missions in Afghanistan this July. Now, the Romanian Armed Forces has about 1050 militaries that are deployed mainly in Zabol province.
