Chief of General Staff, Admiral Gheorghe Marin, Ph.D. will pay an official visit between August 3 and 8 in the United States of America, invited by his counterpart, president of the Committee of Joint Chiefs of Staffs, Admiral Michael Mullen.
The two military leaders will have official talks on the bilateral and within NATO military cooperation. Admiral Marin will meet General David Petraeus, USCENTCOM commander, will visit the US commands and military bases and will participate in the ceremony to occur to Arlington National Graveyard, Washington D.C.
Chief of General Staff will visit the Veterans Rehabilitation Center at the US Army "Walter Reed" Medical Center on Friday, August 8, to meet Lieutenant Colonel Nicusor Augustin Pegulescu, wounded on January 9, 2009 during his mission in the theater of operations in Afghanistan.
