Chief of General Staff, Admiral Gheorghe Marin, Ph.D. visited Saturday, August 8, Lieutenant Colonel Nicusor Augustin Pegulescu at the War Veterans Rehabilitation Center of "Walter Reed" US Army Medical Center. On this occasion, the chief of General Staff had talks with the doctors who take care of the Romanian officer on his treatment and morale. He has a positive evolution and benefits of the best treatment and care. Lieutenant Colonel Nicusor Augustin Pegulescu expressed his gratitude for the way he is treated and his optimism on his total recovery. Admiral Marin congratulated Lieutenant Colonel Pegulescu for his courage and devotion to fulfill the mission, offered him some symbolic presents and assured him about his support in future, too. Lieutenant Colonel Pegulescu was wounded on January 9, in Afghanistan in an explosion of an improvised explosive device during the mission at about 50 km south east of Lagman Base.
