The series of activities occasioned by the celebration of the Navy's Day in 2009 will start with the "Day of the Romanian Navy - day of national celebration" symposium to be held on Friday, August 7, 10 a.m. at Bucharest National Military Club.
The Naval Forces and the Romanian Naval League representatives will present lectures on the Romanian Naval Forces' role and perspectives, on special contribution of "Mircea" school ship in the 70 years within the Navy and the Romanian Naval League's history, present and future.
The launch of books, the visit of exhibition of painting, sculpture and books will occur on Friday, under the organization of the Romanian Navy Museum in cooperation with the National Military Museum, "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy and Mangalia Military Club. The Romanian Navy Military Band will have a special concert between 9.30 and 10.30 a.m. on the National Military Club esplanade.
The personalities from the Ministry of National Defense and General Staff, the representatives from the Romanian Naval League, Admirals Club association and military and civilian personnel from the Navy Staff are invited to participate in this activity.
