The Naval Defense Exhibition Constanta 2009 official opening occurred Friday, August 14 in Constanta port, "Pasageri" terminal.
The Presidential Adviser Iulian Fota, the State Secretary deputy for Armaments, Brigade General Eng. Catalin Moraru, Ph.D. the chief of the Navy Staff, Rear Admiral Dorin Danila and other military and civilian personalities participated in the official opening. The Naval Defense Exhibition Constanta 2009 developed between August 14 and 16, gathered 55 companies from Romania, Germany, United States of America and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to present the stage of development for military equipment and naval capacity, the equipment and the systems of security.
The Ministry of National Defense, the organizing structure through the Armaments Department and the Navy Staff brings into attention the technical achievements, the technological demonstrators and the prototypes that have been performed by the Agency of Research for Military Equipment and Technologies, thus; "the mobile lab to determine the acoustic and hydro-acoustic environment on board of ships" and "the anti-air strike, medium caliber, with kinetic sub ammunition and systems of programming the fuse for the surface ships equipment", a project of research that was developed by the Military Technical Academy and the educational offer that was presented by the specialists from the Navy Staff, the Human Resources Management Directorate and "Carol I" National Defense University.
