The opening ceremony of the Summer School on "Lasting Development and Security" theme, organized by the National Defense University "Carol I' will occur on Monday, August 24, starting 9 a.m. at "Dimitrie Cantemir" Military College from Breaza, in the presence of Lieutenant General Teodor Frunzeti, Ph.D. the NDU commander, of the MoND representatives and other military and civilian personalities.
In the Summer School, between August 24 and 28, the 35 participants are the students from "Nicolae Balcescu' Land Forces Academy-Sibiu; "Henri Coanda" Air Force Academy-Brasov; "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy-Constanta; Bucharest Military Technical Academy and other institutions the NDU "Carol I" has the agreements of cooperation (the Academy of Economics, "Dimitrie Cantemir" Christian University and "Titu Maiorescu" University).
The Summer School aims to present the role of the Romanian Armed Forces within the system of national defense, the main issues of national security, to promote the military high education and the military career. The students will have a good chance for an exchange of expertise within the partnerships between the military and civilian institutions.
The Summer School programme will consist in courses, discussions with military and civilian personalities and recreation activities (sport contests, visit to touristic sites in the region and others).
