The ceremony of leave for mission in Kosovo theater of operations of a Detachment from the 498th Paratroops Battalion "Smaranda Braescu" will occur Wednesday, August 26 starting 11 a.m. in Bacau in the presence of the State Secretary Dan Tataru.
The 86 militaries commanded by Major Constantin Cristinel Calinciuc will be part of ROFND XIX from the West Multinational Combat Group of NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR. They will fulfill the special activities of escort, traffic control and patrol, for six months, together with the Italian, Slovenian and Hungarian militaries.
The militaries' relatives, the representatives of the Ministry of National Defense, of the Romanian Orthodox Church and the local administration will participate in the ceremony.
