"AMERIGO VESPUCCI" sailing ship of the Italian Navy will arrive Wednesday, August 26, in Constanta port. The ship, manned with 244 persons, is in the officer-students training campaign for 2009.
During the stop in Romania, between August 26 and 29, a delegation headed by the commander of the ship, Commander Claudio Confalonieri will visit the Flotilla Command and the Navy Academy "Mircea cel Batran" and will meet the local officials.
The Italian cadets will visit "Mircea cel Batran" Navy Academy, "Mircea" school ship, the 221st frigate "Regele Ferdinand" and historical and touristic sites.
