The transfer of authority between ROFND XVIII and ROFND XIX detachments occurred last week in Camp Villaggio base, Kosovo; in this event the participants were the representatives of the nations with forces in Multinational Brigade West.
Brigade General Roberto Peretti, the Multinational Brigade West congratulated the Romanian militaries from the ROFND XVIII and wished them good luck in their mission.
The ROFND XVIII Detachment comprises the militaries from the 60th Parachutists Battalion Baneasa-Otopeni and it is commanded by Major Ionut Gheorghe.
The ROFND XIX Detachment comprises 86 militaries from the 498th Parachutists Battalion "Smaranda Braescu" from Bacau, commanded by Major Constantin Crisrtinel Calinciuc. In their six month mandate the militaries will develop the peace support missions.

During the ceremony of transfer of authority, the Detachment entered under the command of Colonel Fabrizio Biancone, the commander of the Task Force Aquila .
