Romanian - French cooperation, a tradition to continue

The Aviation Museum organizes Thursday, October 22 the launch of the book "Romanian-French Aeronautic Cooperation"; the work is in two languages, and its preface is written by His Excellency Henri Paul, the Ambassador of France in Romania. The book, signed by Commander Paul Sandachi and Professor Valeriu Avram, Ph.D. is an ample retrospective of the Romanian and French relations, as result of the researches made in archives and represents the historical moments from the beginning of the aviation, ever since the 18 century. The activity is part of the events celebrating the 100th anniversary of the first flight by airplane in Romania, under the motto "Louis Bleriot Centenary in Bucharest - October 1909 - October 2009". At the beginning of the event, the participants will see an original ticket for the Bleriot's air show in Romania, Baneasa Racetrack, the post cards made in Romania on this occasion and other issues. A group of young people from the Economic-Administrative College from Rosiorii de Vede will present a short artistic program. The event is supported by RIN Grand Hotel and ROM Air Services.
