The chief of the General Staff of the Czech Republic, General Vlastimil PICEK, came in an official visit in Romania, at the invitation of Admiral Gheorghe MARIN, on Monday, November 9.

During the official talks the two military leaders approached topics such as the modernization of the armed forces as experienced by Romania as a NATO and EU member country, identifying new military bilateral cooperation, the participation in international missions and operations, the developments in the security of the Black Sea and the Western Balkans region.

The program of the Czech delegation included a wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier.
