The soldiers and their military equipment have participated today, December 16 in clear up actions and support of population in the snow affected regions, requested by the local authorities from Buzau, Vrancea and Galati Counties.
11 soldiers from the 8th Artillery Brigade Focsani have acted in Sihlea village, Vrancea County to transport a doctor to a woman who gave birth at home and to evacuate three pregnant women up to the paramedic vehicles.
22 soldiers with two lorries from the 282nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade from Focsani have acted in Maicanesti, Vrancea to clear up the snow from the people transport facilities and 16 soldiers with their equipment from the same Brigade, have acted in Sendreni-Tudor Vladimirescu area, Galati County to clear up the snow from a bridge.
In Buzau County, 33 soldiers with their equipment from the 60th Para shooters Battalion have acted to clear up the snow from Buzau-Mizil route, Ulmeni area and 35 soldiers from the Joint Operational Command have cleared up the snow from the cars and have evacuated the persons on Ulmeni-Caragiale region.
The MoND leadership acted for all the intervention subunits from the residence garrisons, as requested by the local authorities, to act to support the population that has been affected by snow. The national Military Command Center is permanently over watching the weather all over the country.
