Major General Mart de Kruif, former commander of the Regional Command South will visit Romania between January 7 and 8, invited by the chief of General Staff, Admiral Gheorghe Marin, Ph.D.
The guest will have official talks with the chief of General Staff and the commander of the National Defense University "Carol I", Lieutenant General Teodor Frunzeti, Ph.D. They will approach the military aspects of regional security in Afghanistan, the situation in the theater of operations, the participation within ISAF, Romanian achievements in the process of integration within NATO and the participation in NATO led operations and bilateral military cooperation.
Major General Mart de Kruif will have a press conference on the operational engagement of the NATO member states in Afghanistan/ISAF at the National Defense University on January 7, at 12.30 a.m.
