Two detachments of soldiers from "Mihai Viteazu" Training School for Units, from Pitesti, subordinated to the Land Forces Staff, are acting with three lorries and an armored vehicle since 03.20 hours, this day, to clear away the routes and to rescue the persons that are snowed up in their cars, in different places in Arges County.
The action of the 34 soldiers is based on a plan of local cooperation between the Ministry of National Defence and the public authorities in case of emergency state. The detachment of 13 soldiers, in Caldararu commune, saved two snowed up persons and transported them to the town hall. Presently, the soldiers take part to evacuation of a person from Ungheni to Costesti.
The 21 soldiers of the second detachment acting together with structures of the Inspectorate for Emergency to support the population in Teiu commune, checked the snowed up vehicles and granted support to the local authorities in evacuating those in need.
