The Minister of National Defence, Mr. Gabriel Oprea planned a meeting with the local public authorities in the town of Calarasi, on Thursday, February 11.
The Prefect of Calarasi County, the Mayor of Calarasi municipality and the members of the Parliament notified the Ministry of National Defence on the need to urgently solving the lack of spaces for schools and social assistance centers in the County.
They presented the draft programme for building a university camp and a European center of social assistance. The local representatives asked the minister’s support for the lawful transfer of two military barracks to the local administration authorities for the implementation of this programme.
The defence minister said solving such situations is one of governmental priorities. Mister Gabriel Oprea expressed the MoND willingness to support the process of education and social assistance for the people in need.
