The Minister of National Defence signed upon CHoD's proposition, the post-mortem promotion of Seargent Major Florin Badiceanu to the rank of Second Lieutenant.
The Minister of National Defence proposed that the President of Romania should decorate the Second Lieutenant (post mortem) Florin Badiceanu with the National Order "Steaua Romaniei" (Star of Romania) in rank of Knight, for military men, with sign of war.

Second Lieutenant (post mortem) Florin Badiceanu, the 33rd Maneuver Battalion was killed on duty on February 23, during a patrol mission on A1 Kandahar-Kabul route. At about 3 km north-east from Lagman base, the armoured vehicle he was in passed over an improvised explosive device.
