A AN 26 military aircraft trasported two, one and respectively two years old children, as a humanitarian mission. The children were exposed to an explosion on the morning of Friday, February 26.
The patients, in a severe condition, with burns affecting their upper breathing system were transferred from Satu Mare to Bucharest; a SMURD team and a military medical team provided medical assistance during the flight.
The mission was conducted with the approval of the Defence Minister Gabriel Oprea upon the request of Health Ministry Under Secretary Raed Arafat.
The commander of the aircraft team was Lieutenant Commander Cristain Balan, of the 90th Air Transport Base.
