Defence Minister Gabriel Oprea welcome a visit of a delegation headed by Mr. Teodor Maries, president of Asociatia 21 Decembrie 1989 (The December 21st, 1989 Association), on March 1, 2010.
Mister Gabriel Oprea explained that the defence ministry is keen on exposing what happenedduring the Romanian Revolution in 1989.
The Minister reassured the representatives of the Association of the MoND transparency in the matter and that it is willing to take all necessary legal steps for the truth concerning those events be revealed.
In this respect, the minister said the last documents requested by the Prosecutor's office and the said Association should be unclassified on Wednesday, March 10.
