The Chief of General Staff, Admiral Gheorghe Marin, PH.D., was invited by his counterpart, General Edmund Entacher, to make an official visit in Austria in March, 10 to 12.
The two officials had talks on ways of enlarging bilateral cooperation, on the security context in South-Eastern Europe, on the transformation of the Austrian and Romanian Armed Forces and their participation in international missions and operations.
The Romanian delegation programme included visiting military units, attending demonstrative exercises and a wreath-laying ceremony at the Unknown Soldier Monument in Vienna.
