In agreement with his commitment, the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Gabriel Oprea, takes all necessary steps to identify the legal means to keep the financial rights of retired military personnel after the new law regulating pensions would be adopted. He is assisted in his endeavours by the members of the Commission for defence, public order national security and of the Commission for labour and social protection in the Deputy Chamber and the Senate.

The defence minister would never endorse a measure to the effect of diminishing the pensions of retired military personnel.

The minister’s position is sustained among other technical documents, by simulations, computations and analyses of the present form of the draft unitary law on pensions.
