The Chief of General Staff, Admiral Gheorghe Marin, participates in the EU Military Committee meeting of the chiefs of defence, to take place in Brussels on May 4.

The agenda of the reunion proposes talks on the stage and perspectives of EU-led military operations, on the development of EU programmes concerning military capabilities, cooperation opportunities on regional and global security with other international organizations.

While in Brussels, Admiral Marin will attend on May 5 and 6, the NATO Military Committee meeting for the chiefs of defence. During the meeting such topics will be approached as latest developments in NATO-led military operations, Alliance transformation and its partnership actions. The Romanian chief of defence will also attend the working session of the NATO-Russia Council.
