The Minister of National Defence organizes, on May 9, activities to the celebration of the Independence Day of Romania, the victory of the United nations Coalition Forces at the end of WW2 and the Days of Europe in capital cities of municipalities and in towns where there are large military units.

A military and wreath-laying ceremony will be organized in Bucharest, at the WW2 Heroes Memorial in front of the National Defence University Carol I, on May 9, from 10.00 hrs.

Active and reserve military personnel, war veterans, representatives of the local public authorities will participate in the military ceremonies organized at the heroes’ memorials.
